A LITTLE ABOUT ME
I’m Joseph Larsen, a software engineer and engineering leader who enjoys improving both the software and the way it gets built.
I like making complex systems easier to understand. That might mean designing a product from the ground up, finding a path through a legacy application, or improving how a team approaches its work.
As a leader, I value clear expectations, regular discussion, and room for engineers to own meaningful challenges. I’ve mentored engineers from junior and intern roles through to senior levels.
Alongside my team leadership work, I designed and built Bag of Mapping, a production virtual tabletop platform. It keeps me connected to the full stack, from the interface to real-time systems and infrastructure.
I’m exploring agents, plugins, RAG, and reliable AI workflows. I’m especially interested in making AI-assisted development understandable and verifiable.
